Coffee by Design opened its doors in 1994 with two goals – to give back to the community and to provide customers with a superior coffee experience. Specializing in handcrafted micro roasted coffees, their owners believe in being selective and working with businesses that share their standards and beliefs in environmental and economic sustainability. The Coffee by Design web-site pointedly states, “We realize that by getting to know the farmers whose products we buy, we establish partnerships based upon trust and the vision of long term relationships, which ultimately improves the way they live and the products they produce.”
The team at Welch Sign also believes in the importance of getting to know our clients in order to improve the products we provide, and this is undoubtedly one of the reasons that Coffee by Design chose to partner with Welch when they were seeking to reinforce visual identity at their anchor café (dubbed “a playground for coffee”), and other locations throughout Greater Portland. We have worked closely with the owners to ensure the Coffee by Design brand was presented in a fashion that reflects their values.
