Bowdoin College is a private liberal arts college located in the coastal Maine town of Brunswick. Founded in 1794, the college is steeped in history and is ranked one of the nation’s top educational institutions. Newsweek described Bowdoin as a "New Ivy", one of a number of elite colleges and universities outside of the Ivy League.
Welch Sign has provided interior and exterior wayfinding throughout the campus for the last 15 years partnering on over 40 individual projects. These collaborations have included signage and graphics for numerous classroom facilities, athletic facilities, labs, libraries, residential dorms, the health and fitness center, two museums, the library, and a theater. Working closely with key staff and understanding the overall visual communication goals of the university have been paramount to implementing a successful sign program campus wide.
